My last car ('00 Buick) had a cabin filter, too, and the replacement filter for it was $4. This seems to fit very nicely, does the job it is intended for, and is one of the least expensive replacements out there. I usually change my air filters once a year as a maintenance checklist item (unless I am driving a lot, then I change the engine air filter more frequently). I see no reason for these filters to cost so much, and this is a good price point for the filters - half what most others cost.
