They would be the same voltage but you would get more run time with the 124 **Q: Are the batteries supposed to be charged? Mine arrived fully discharged. Does this mean they they are defective?** A: Mine did not arrive "fully" charged, but charged once they were installed in my unit and have worked fine ever since. I would not consider them defective unless they fail to reach full charge once installed in your UPS.
