Review: BEST AMP IN A PEDAL I'VE HEARD AND YOU GET 3 OF THEM - My church is small and I always used my 65' Fender Deluxe. 22 watts and I was always too loud on 2 1/2. They wanted to go ampless and have the instruments go direct to address these issues. Over the years I've owned and used many processors and pedals and I never found anything good enough. So here are the pluses. Well for me nothing compares to a real tube amp but the Iridium really does the trick and I am satisfied with my sound. It sounds great and I'm getting great live sound with the 3 amp models and speaker cab choices. It takes pedals better than any processor I've ever tried. The reverb choices are nice. They are only room reverb but that's what I use any way. The only negative is- It can only save 1 preset and for the money it should be able to save and erase more presets and they be identified by colored led's. .

It sounds great recording and just playing with headphones, and takes pedals extremely well--klon, vibe, etc. Full disclosure: the power supply died on the first day but I use it with an isolated supply anyway. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you use overdrive snd distortion pedals with this as in an amp. If so how is the tone?**
A: I bought the Strymon to allow for a direct connect into the PA system.  It works with all my pedals, but I don't use my distortion anymore.  I use the Marshall setting and boost the drive and it works fine for what we play when I need that punch.

**Q: What do you gear guys recommend. Iridium or Simplifier. I’d rather pay extra 100 for better tone?**
A: I know nothing about the Simplifier. However,  I can tell you I'm a purist when it comes to tone. I swear by tube amps and have been playing through them for years. The Iridium has incredible tone in all the amp and cabinet combinations.  I owned a 65 fender deluxe which I kick myself for selling. The iridium sounds and feels like I'm blowing through my old deluxe. I never thought I'd say this but I've rediscovered my pedals(not a big pedal guy) I put together a pedal board that'd with the Iridium I'd feel great about plugging directly through the PA and not hauling am amp. I haven't played out since March 2020 so using it more for recording. I was just telling my buddy no way could I play through my tube amps here recording as loud as I would need to to capture the tone I'm getting with the Iridium and head phones. So there you have it however long winded. It's changed my whole approach and point of view on all this tube vs solid state conversion.  The technology now is amazing.

**Q: Can it be as a active loader( like two notes torpedo c.a.b)?  connected it after a amp head then input to record interface?**
A: This device does not have a speaker input, meaning, it cannot take the speaker output of an amplifier, and then process that into a mixing Consol, this takes a an input directly from a guitar, or guitar pedal, and then can be inserted into a mixing console.

It really is the best Amp/cab modeler out there for the low to mid range. I also appreciate the fact that it is made in the US, and it is engineered to outlast me. My grandkids will be using this effects pedal!
