Second unit had the same slow response. Upon research further, noticed they are using Samsung 128 GB ssd formated to look like a 2 TB drive. This is same as 32 GB microSD formated to look like a 1 TB. see the picture of the drive used, google to find out the spec's.I won't recommend, and also call for investigation on this product by Amazon team. I spent all day yesterday, moving files from other hard drives and it stayed at room temperature. It has about 80% the speed of my desktop hard drives when they were brand new. That is a small trade off for me.I have the USB plugged into one of my hard drives. I wish the USB cord was about 3 feet longer.
