The bolts that attach the base plate to the clamp are over-long and need to be ground down for the base to rest flat on any surface, or you'll need to add washers on top to keep them from poking out. Pretty poor thinking there, for a $30 clamp. Also, the bolt used for the hold down is just a socket head screw that is not long enough to use with most drill presses, so you'll probably need to find another. Also, it's just loose and flopping around in there, so it will spin without an allen wrench to counter-tighten which is a PITA. All in all not useful without modifications. I went and bought some 3/8" x 2" bolts and welded them to the base then got some wing-nut type nut for tightening from below. NOW the clamp is useful for me.
