I can hit .0005 with it. Boring bars kinda leave a bit to be desired. Believe the carbide to be C2.. Most inexpensive you can get. Luckily I am blessed with a tool & cutter grinder to sharpen and profile them. You definitely cannot use them as is. The case is pretty well junk.
