Shape lights can be used inside as mood lights for living spaces or night lights for landings or children's bedrooms. You can plug your Shape light into a plug socket or charge it by USB and use it as a portable indoor light if there is no plug socket nearby. A full USB charge takes just a few hours and will provide 50 hours of illumination. Using Shape lights Outdoors Shape lights are ideal for adding atmosphere to outdoor spaces. The base inside Shape lights contains a hidden solar panel which charges up from the sun through the shape shell. Shape lights are also USB chargeable which is ideal if you don't have a good solar charging location, or as a backup during dull weather spells. A wonderfully simple and stylish addition to my bedroom. I use it every evening for 6 or so hours and need to charge it every 3-4 days. It has a cable, so you can have it plugged in all the time but I keep it where there's no socket, hence charging every now and then. I have it for months now and it works well

This light is even better than described. Originally bought one as a Father’s Day gift for my husband but shortly afterwards bought a second as we were so pleased with it. Have used mostly in the garden as an atmospheric lighting feature but also in the home. Love the choice of colours and the automatic switch-on when natural light fades outside. Lamp stays on most of the night in the summer - less during the winter, but power can easily be topped up with the USB provided. You can set on one colour or to rotate through all the colour options. Good value for money.

If only I’d tested it before return window closed. I already had one which has worked perfectly for a number of years so bought three more. Two for gifts and another for myself. Mine does not work and I dare not ask if the gifts work. You can charge it and it will light up for a couple of hours max then dies - no matter which setting it is on. The battery is a duffer and won’t keep its charge. I’ve had to bin it:(
