Easy to use, I have no idea how someone couldn't figure out how to fill these or put the battery's in. Its a wonder how they've made it through life this long. They're salt & pepper shaker's people!! Now, the meat of these, how do they work. My salt grinder chews right through coarse salt. leaving fine & fresh salt with no problem, which I can see, in my not so well lit kitchen, thanks to the LED lights in the grinder's themselves. If you adjust the bottom of the grinders, they work like a champ, keep in mind they run on 4 double A's! The company stands behind their product. The top half cover also separated, so it didn't stay locked together, but that didn't stop it operating, it was just no longer easy to use, so it wasn't used as often. When it finally died, the second one came out of the box, that was about 3 months ago.The second unit self-destructed (the grinder part separated.) So I used the working motor half with the working grinder half to make one working unit, which then lasted about 3 months till a few days ago, the motor connection (plastic) to the grinder (metal shaft) loosened till it wouldn't turn the grinder.When they worked, they were a bit slow.
