You must insert a spike into each of the many holes in each one, spin on the nut for each spike, and then tighten with the wrench that comes with the kit. That was easy. -- You must then thread the strap through the platform slots. This will take some trial-and-error effort to position the straps for use. Be sure to thread the straps so they don't cover the spikes in any fashion; loop them back up over the top surface of the platform. Admittedly, this one is hard to explain. But just barely. The nuts holding the spike on kept falling off at an alarming rate and I snapped a spike when I slipped. Broke a strap tightening and had to tie off. Good for small DIY projects if you’re doing more than 500ft2 get something higher quality.
