It is a fun way to reward your dog while training. I personally use it to help motivate my dog to sit on the couch while watching television. Usually she just wants to go to her dog bed, but after using this treat she is much more motivated to cuddle on the couch.My dog is actually obsessed with this flavor, she will constantly sit by the couch when I'm getting ready to watch television in anticipation of getting her leanlix. Seeing this behavior, I think this product could be helpful for training dogs with anxiety and/or trust issues.This treat lasts us about 1 to 2 weeks with once a day use. As a tip, I suggest not pushing the treat out of the stick more than a tiny amount. He is a service dog and we are in the phase where we learn to work together. I thought this would be a great idea (in fact one of his trainers mentioned it) because he gets a ton of treats during the day. However, 1) it does get messy, 2) It's hard to treat and walk (at least for me), and most importantly, 3) my dog tires of it after about 3 uses. Smells very strong like bacon and my dog LOVES it. The problem that I have now is that if this is around my neck or in my hand, I literally trip over my dog every step I take because she will not leave my side! It is also great for my 5 year daughter to give to the dog. My pup is only 5 months and she is still sometimes too aggressive when taking a treat from my daughter. This is perfect because it is big enough for my daughter to hold firmly and the dog doesn't snap at her hands. Now that my daughter can comfortably give a treat to the dog, training is going much better since the dog is now respecting my daughter and actually listening to her.
