And I was impressed that it could hold my weight (presently around 240lb). In short, it will hold up as long as you keep your weight centered on the stool. But if you lean in one direction or another even the slightest bit, pieces can break off rather precipitously. Which mine did. And once that happens there's no fixing it. It's trash.Still, I like what it can do, and now that I know it's limitations, maybe I'll buy another and try to be more careful with how I use it... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great stool, verry impressed. *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2020* I must say I was not expecting much when I got this. But it actualy suprised me quiet a bit. This thing is quite sturdy. It works well as a poor man's astronomy chair. It's ajustable height is wonderful and well engineered it is sturdy from about to inches to its full height. It's east and quick to adjust the height witch for my purposes is ideal. I do wish it would go a bit higher, but I do realise that if it did it would loose stability.(that wish is solely for astronomy viewing purposes. ) for every thing else I have used it for it has been great. The best part about this stool is how compact it can go. Getting equipment around isn't a problem in my vehicle.
