The PCIEX4 slot operates at up to x2 mode when the PCIEX1_2 slot is populated. The PCIEX4 slot operates at up to x4 mode when the PCIEX1_2 is empty. **Q: Has anyone used this to boot an hp z820 workstation? if yes, what nvme did you use ?** A: A Kingston predator m.2 would work best. But is no longer produced but you can get lucky and find find one used, next best is Samsung sm961 achi. **Q: I have 2 slots in my asus b550 -f but, i need a third one for my games so i dont gonna have any problem right?** A: If you have any an empty PCIe 3.0 slots that's at least 4x (4 lanes) you should have no prblem adding this card. If by "my games" you mean a graphics card, again, you need to be sure that after the graphics card is installed, there's still one 4x PCIe 3.0 card slot exposed. **Q: hola buenas tardes este adaptador es compatible con la board b450 tomahawk max?** A: : This adapter is pci express x4, and it does not have any active circuitry , is is basically a wire extension to connect the pins of the nvme to the Mobo slot. As such, it should work on any board that is PCI express 3 like yours. I will say 99.99 per cent chance of trouble free operation. Also, it will fit in X4, X8 and x16 ## Frequently Bought Together - GLOTRENDS PA09-HS M.2 NVMe to PCIe 4.0 X4 Adapter with M.2 Heatsink(22x70x3mm) for M.2 NVMe SSD - SAMSUNG 990 EVO Plus SSD 2TB, PCIe Gen 4x4, Gen 5x2 M.2 2280, Speeds Up-to 7,250 MB/s, Upgrade Storage for PC/Laptops, HMB Technology and Intelligent Turbowrite 2.0, (MZ-V9S2T0B/AM) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/181431478-glotrends-m-2-pcie-nvme-adapter-card-with-full-covering](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/181431478-glotrends-m-2-pcie-nvme-adapter-card-with-full-covering) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
