The RF connector is an SO-239. Mounting pole is 29mm ID, 32mm OD. It appears to be completely metric dimensions. **Q: I want to run a splitter off this connected via 30’ lmr-400 to run ota dtv & sds-100. is this possible? what splitter?** A: Hi Aaron, It would be better to use a low-loss antenna switch such as the Daiwa CS-201. Switch the antenna to the scanner, or to the TV. If you want to use both at once, a splitter or multicoupler is needed. I suggest contacting the people at Scanner Master for their suggestions. **Q: What is the best cable to use for uniden scanners? (sds100) will it overload the scanner?** A: LMR 400 cable. No it won’t overload the scanner . **Q: How tall of a mast is recommended?** A: I used a Gable Antenna Mount and used two 5 ft sections for a total of 10 ft. 5 ft would have worked but 10ft worked better for my application. 5ft would be a good choice if using a Tri-pod Roof Mount. Just my opinion. The differences end up coming down to the materials used in its construction and the design of how it's held together. I absolute admire this discone antenna. It has weathered some of the worst the northern midwest has to offer season after season extremes and done it without fail year in and year out and looks and performs as good as the day it was assembled and installed. Priced right and even priced better than some competitors that use less secure build design and far less superior materials. If your in the market for a discone there is no other that I would purchase as the whole point is to get it together and installed and not have to give it another thought and that is what this one has provided and the only reason it come to mind was I was catching up on my reviews and saw I had purchased it years ago.
