It's not intended to do that. **Q: Can you fit a water color bottle in one of the holes so your drink will stay Cold?** A: It's actually very wimpy so I don't use it as all that stuff they show in the photo would sink it or tip it over. And I would definitely not put a phone or tablet on it. Maybe a water bottle would be OK, but for the price I do not recommend it.
