It does hold the lid up while it’s open as well.This toy box is very thick plastic and it’s not easily scratched or damaged. It looks exactly like it showed in the description. This looks great in any play area or bed room for storage. I would absolutely buy again, great value for the price.This toy chest holds a lot of toys! It’s easy to open and close for kids, and doesn’t pinch or smash fingers.
