I'll explain why: The intake is comprised of a U-shaped piece that attaches to two straight sections. If you omit one of the sections, your intake will extend 4.5 inches down into the tank from the rim. This assembly would work for a nano tank that is 6 inches deep. For your awareness, if someone were to use all 3 intake pieces (as I currently do), the intake extends 6.25 inches down into the tank from the rim. I measured all of this to ensure I'm giving you accurate info. **Q: Which way do I turn the knob for less flow?** A: Either direction works, it's just a butterfly. **Q: Does anyone know the length of the cord for the finnex pure 7 hob filter?** A: 4 feet out so. **Q: Why cant i get replacement filters** A: But Aimee cut to fit filter Fibre and make your own. Is Cheaper and of higher quality. Carbon in the toe of a pantyhose and your set. Don't have to change carbon every time because there is more of it than is ever offered as part of a component filter pad. Rinse when you change the fiber. ## Frequently Bought Together - Finnex PF-7 Nano Aquarium HOB Power Filter, 52 GPH, up to 7.5 Gallon Aquariums, Made in Taiwan - AQUANEAT LED Aquarium Light Full Spectrum 12 Inch Fish Tank Light Fresh Water - Aqueon Plant and Shrimp Aquarium Substrate 5 Pounds,Brown --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/179566133-finnex-pf-7-nano-aquarium-hob-power-filter-52-gph](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/179566133-finnex-pf-7-nano-aquarium-hob-power-filter-52-gph) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
