Review: Good electric pump - Does everything I want for my Holley 650 4 barrel carburetor on my truck -1975 IH 1600 -------------------- I have been asked a lot of questions by people from desertcart about this fuel pump. The biggest question I get - will it work on a particular model. Sometimes I can answer that question, while others are not sure. When it comes down to carburetors each has a certain PSI for fuel pressure rating. These need to be match. If a carb is rated @ 6psi then the fuel pump should be @ 5 PSI or a little less . If you get too much PSI, the float in the carb WILL NOT shut off. This will cause the carb to flood fuel everywhere in & on the engine. Not enough PSI might cause low fuel delivery. The other item is GPH {gallons per minute}, in most cases this is not important issue, unless you got a rocket vehicle that needs massive fuel delivery. Also I have been asked about the mounting positions, I always try to mount it feet down and also close to the fuel supply {tank} as possible. A general rule to any type pump, it can push liquid farther than it can pull it {from tank}. Hope this helps.
Review: Pump - Stopped working after 2 weeks. Checked fuse checked relay everything in working order. Except pump. Don't know what's going on.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Fit for Gasoline or diesel?**
A: The pump is suitable for gasoline. If it is used in any other water or alcohol liquid, such as E85 standard, ethanol, methanol, race fuel, water or watery liquid may lead to shortened fuel pump life. Note: Please be sure to use with a filter.

**Q: How to quickly pull out fuel hose?**
A: Please do not use tools to pull out vigorously, which may cause damage. If the fuel hose is too tightly connected to the nozzle, you can use a tool to cut the tube or slightly heat the tube so that it could be easier to pull the tube out.

**Q: Why pump is rotating but does not absorb fuel?**
A: 1. Check if leak in the inlet pipe 2. Try immersing the pump into the fuel for a few seconds or blowing it out a few times 3. If you still can't solve it, please contact seller via Amazon Messages.

**Q: Why pump is not running?**
A: Reasons:1. power supply is not connected or wiring is faulty; 2. Internal components are damaged by ingress of impurities, falls or hit. Please: 1. Reconnect wires, red wire is positive, black wire is negative; 2. Tell us via Amazon Message.

**Q: Why it is low flow?**
A: The pump is installed in a high position. Please install within 12" (about 30cm) height from fuel tank.

### ⭐ DO NOT BUY
*by T***R on October 4, 2026*

supposed to have a 12 month warranty. followed instructions for warranty and guess what, YOU DON'T GET ANYWHERE! they blocked any attempt to do warranty contact! this thing quit after 1 week. bought a second one to get the car running quickly and it stopped after 10 seconds of install. BTW, I'm an experienced auto mechanic with over 40 years experience! I know what I'm doing!
