I read on multiple sites that I would need to use a special floor mat but decided to use this product. It was easy to use. Be sure to watch the videos on application a few times before starting. The product is easy to work with but hard to fix if you mess up.

I believe this stuff is simply a small quantity of the tub coating with a small amount of grit stuff. I would suggest the manufacturer include this with the tub kit. You will have to put something on the coating or your tub will turn into a skating rink, the coating is that smooth once it sets up. It is easy to use, especially after you have used the tub coating. At first, I didn't think there would be enough but its just the right amount to coat the bottom of your tub. I taped off the area I wanted to coat and curved the corners which I think gives it a bit better look than 'square' corners. Once its set up, it really does work.
