I have regular allergy problems and take 1/2 table per day regularly. Often when we get smoked up in the summer time due to the huge forest fires..... like this year of 2013..... this has been very helpful. I am one of those who are suseptable to the side effects of this product and others like it..... products like Claritin and such will give me a pretty severe headache if I take the full tablet for too many days in a row. So, the half tablet works well, does not give headaches: also, this product works well in conjunction with other forms of anti-histimine without over dose problems. When the smoke was VERY bad for a while (several weeks end to end) I also took 1/2 Claritin at night, and an occassional supplement of the old stand by of the past 50 years, Chlorphiniramine maleate HCI..... another inexpensive generic anithistimine with minimal drowsy type of side effect. If you "need" the help, and are suffering under the effects of serious allergy symptoms, then your body will use these to help without overdose effects! If you do not need it, and take too much of any of these, then the side effects will be felt from headache, drowseyness, to extra dry mouth and sinuses for a few hours. Use them wisely and they are an amazingly good way to avoid useless doctor visits. Buy with confidence for these are every bit as good as the regular brand name products. Allergies is a subject I'm quite familiar because I've done so much research to treat my own allergies. Without question, the medication that every person who struggles with allergies should be on is Cetirizine (brand name Zyrtec). It's the only second generation antihistamine (the other well-known ones are Claritin and Allegra) that works for a full 24 hours. Furthermore, it is also the most potent. I take one every night at 6 PM. It became quite pricey though, so one day I got the bright idea to search Amazon for Cetirizine. My mind was blown when I saw that Kirkland sold a year's worth for less than $20. I now recommend to my patient's that they buy the the Kirkland Cetirizine from amazon (and if they are taking claritin or allegra, I recommend they change to Zyrtec).However, for many of you with moderate to severe nasal congestion, cetirizine alone will not do the trick. Thankfully, triamcinolone acetonide (aka nasacort) is now approved to be sold OTC. It is very safe and effective, and together with this Kirkland's cetirizine, your allergies should be taken care off.PS: Hopefully Kirkland will start making triamcinolone acetonide soon, because it can be quite pricey. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kirkland Gets 2 Nostrils Up *by on Reviewed in the United States August 5, 2025* This Kirkland allergy medicine is a great value for what you get.
