No problems here *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2021* These worked perfect for me. I added new leather tabs to an old vintage LV. I first stuck these irons in a block of wax before I punched my holes and would do that every 2 or 3 punches to have a cleaner hole when I pulled them out. I had a thick piece of leather under the irons over a marble slab to protect the irons yet have a good surface to punch clean and precisely. Not sure of longevity, but they got the job done and are in the same condition before I started pricking. Make sure you hit irons straight up and down. I assume most negative ratings are from those who used these incorrectly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great set of irons for a beginner and for the price. *by O***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2022* For the price you pay on these, you will not find a better set of pricking irons. Sure, you could spend more money and get a higher quality of tool and finish, but these are perfect for a beginner, BUT there is a caveat to that. You are going to need to do a bit of touch up polishing to these for the best experience. The tips of them are actually very sharp, and will pierce the leather, but the sides of the prongs come pretty rough so it makes penetration into the leather and removing them from the leather a struggle. You will see other reviews about broken prongs and such, but I am confident that these are all user error. I can see how you would bend it if you were struggling to remove the irons without any polishing been done. If you are willing to put a bit of work in sanding and polishing the prongs, these irons work like a dream, and do just as good of a job as high end sets. I have found that wrapping the handles with athletic tape makes them more comfortable to use as well because the handles are kind of small and skinny. All in all, I am very happy with these, though I do only give 4 stars because I did have to do sanding and polishing in addition to using a degreaser to remove the oil that was coating them. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Runaway *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2023* Not salvageable.
