A: It doesn't stick at all, it rests below the tank.  There really isn't a need for the sticky unless you are applying to the side of the tank.

**Q: Does it works in the tank or under?**
A: Heating pad should go underneath the tank, the animal could get burned if they touch it directly.

**Q: Is the only for glass aquariums?**
A: You could use on other types cages as long as there is no danger of fire or melting risk.

**Q: Could i use this with a plastic tote?**
A: Yes, you should be able to, I use mine with plastic totes that I'm housing my leopard geckos in and they work well.
