I plugged in my travel trailer and the added photos are of the inverter with the TV, DVD, a few minor wall wart items, two lights (12v ceiling), and my refrigerator which is a standard AC, not an RV fridge running. The inverter isn't making a sound is cold to the touch. Though not as rock solid on the AC voltage and frequency as the original inverter I purchased from another vendor on Amazon, this one unlike that one is still working. I went through two of the other vendors units and decided to try Ramsond. I'm happy at this point. I'm using 4 AWG wire since I'm pulling less than 20 amp from the batteries. Max for 4 AWG for power transmission is 60 amp. No wire heat was detectable. Now, to see if that lasts!11/1/2014 - Update - connected up to my RV and ran the refrigerator for 24 hour. Was very pleased at the units efficiency. It never got even the slightest bit warm and never made a sound. The refrigerator held 30 degrees with no problem. Battery voltage started at just above 13 volts and after 24 hours had just dropped below 12 volts. Cycle time of the fridge was about 40% on 60% off. Note that I also have a small fan that runs with the fridge to remove heat from the fridges rear coils, taking about 25 watts.9/30/2015 - Final review - Once up on Colorado on a remote site, this unit worked flawlessly. My relatives used the unit through the entire summer from May through September connected to their motor home. I was on site 4 weeks through the summer and we ran both their motor home and my travel trailer off of this inverter. The entire package is 4 235 watt solar panels, 2 Tracer 2210RN Charge Controllers, 8 Trojan T-105RE 6v batteries tied into 4 12 volt banks, and finally the Ramson SunRay 1500 watt inverter. From this we ran all lights in both rigs, 2 TV's, 2 sat dish and receivers, fans, a toaster, coffee pot, my travel trailers refrigerator (a small office type, not an RV fridge), radio's, a full size washing machine, and misc. other stuff, including 1 hair dryer. Of course these were not running all at the same time but it's posted here to say the inverter ran it all at various times with absolutely no issues. The fans cycled and they are a bit loud but our power system was located in a shed so the fans could just be heard if the shed door was open. With the shed door closed, there was no fan sound heard. I can say that you must make sure you have high quality 1/0 or better cable to ensure plenty of battery power makes it to the inverter. This goes for all inverters though. Going cheap on the cable from the batteries will force the unit to work harder than it should and not provide the performance you're looking for. Following the instructions is a must. The inverter responded very quickly to changes in demand such as when the washing machine motor would start up. Other devices had no issues when this occurred. One post is concerning LED and CFL lights flickering. No matter what the load (almost none) to very high loads, we never had any flicker in our LED or CFL lights. I couldn't be more happy with this inverter and its flawless performance through the summer. I can't wait until next year to get back up to Colorado and enjoy the quiet of using this inverter over running generators. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I said last review, but, this inverter continues to perform. I took it up to my ranch property over Memorial Day week. Connected to two 305 watt solar panels through a 40 amp charge controller and 4 T-105 RG Trojan batteries, this 120v AC pure sign wave inverter is working perfectly. In fact it's working so well that I left connected over the past needs after returning back home. This means it's been running for over a month completely unattended. I had a friend check the entire system yesterday and everything, including this inverter continue to operate as advertised. Note there's almost no load since I haven't been there but the inverter has not overloaded and tripped off or failed in any other way. I am planning on replacing the inverter but that is only because I would like more than 1500 Watts. If the company made a larger capacity unit, I would certainly consider purchasing it. I would like to run my microwave oven which pulls more current than this inverter can handle, but for most people, this unit will easily meet their needs. For instance it easily runs my apartment size washing machine and spin dryer. ### ⭐ Unstable with inductive loads & LED or fluorescent lights *by F***M on August 15, 2012* When the total load on the inverter is less than 400 W, LED and compact fluorescent lights flicker. I tested 6 different wattages from 5 different manufacturers and all flickered on this supposedly pure sine wave inverter but these lights did not flicker on any of my other 8 modified sine wave inverters.This inverter did start and run 2 different air-conditioners, a 6400 BTU 24LRA 590W and a 5200 BTU 26LRA 480W. However, both consumed 25% more power than on grid power and both caused the compact fluorescent lights to blink several times per second. I repeated the test with the inverter, batteries (220AHr), and air conditioner/lights completely isolated and got the same results. The start up power draw for both air-conditioners is within the claimed 3000 W surge capability of this inverter. I also tested my existing AIMS 1250/3100 Watts modified sine wave inverter and it started and ran each air-conditioner but did not have any of these problems. Both air-conditioners on the AIMS inverter did consume 10% more power than on grid power.I spent 34 min. on the phone explaining these problems to the vendor. The vendor said that they had tested this inverter on air-conditioners and that it should not cause the lights to flicker or blink. The vendor told me they would immediately send me a replacement as well as a return shipping label and that they were very interested in testing the unit when they got it back. After a week of not hearing from the vendor I filed an A-to-z Guarantee claim and eventually got my money back.It is obvious that after my conversation with the vendor they tested one of their inverters and found the same problem and knew that there was no point in sending me a replacement. If it were not for Amazons A-to-z Guarantee I would've been stuck with this supposedly pure sine wave inverter without having any use for it. ### ⭐⭐ Is ok for the price, but would not buy again *by J***E on April 6, 2012* Works ok, but the voltage is a little on the low side and can be seen in lights.
