And it took the blackheads off of my nose. Looked like a porcupine. As far as whiteheads I'm not too sure. **Q: Do these remove fine hairs on the nose too?** A: I am not sure if they remove fine hairs, I would say "maybe". I do know I have used these now several times and if I had to guess, they only remove about 30% of what is there. Afterwards, you can still see many remaining 'heads, and I just remove them all myself by squeezing techniques. I guess it depends on the individual person, skin type, etc. But they only work very slightly for me. **Q: When the instructions say "Apply to the skin area, smooth side down," do they mean the sticky side or the side with the charcole?** A: They mean the side that was stuck to the plastic! That side is smoother and shinier. Make sure your skin is pretty wet before you apply it, I would advise steaming it with a hot towel to open up your pores. It won't stick as well if there isn't enough water. **Q: do you think this will work for one stubborn blackhead on my shoulder** A: I honestly don't think it's that strong if you're saying it's stubborn.
