My younger brother was able to use this fine and snipe a can from our whole backyard. Although compared to the other, it's much more sensitive to the wind and low powered, it's perfect for starting out and is highly reliable and rarely jams which can be a pro or con. For reference, we made a target out of the box this shipped in, point blank this gun will leave a bb deep welt on a can, but not penetrate, and will dent the cardboard box it came in, but not penetrate (about an eighth a inch i'd figure, about the thickness of a quarter), while the stinger pistol we got will rip through cans point blank even with airsoft plastic bbs and leave the same sized welt from 20 feet away. However, I added it to my order because it was so cheap that I couldn't pass it up and because, with the lower fps, it is safer for my son to use unsupervised in the woods with his friends. When this pistol arrived, however, my son fired it, and he loves it. He put his CO2 powered gun aside and prefers to fire this one. When he goes exploring with his friends, he preserves his CO2 pistol and uses this. By his choice! Unfortunately, this pistol jambs a lot, but I can clear out most of the errant airsoft pellets by working the action (and occasionally by using a stiff wire), and then my son can smack it on the table a certain way to get it working again. Eventually we found that if you only load about 8 airsoft pellets at a time it won't jamb. So, 4 out of 5, and I can give a conditional recommendation. It breaks down like this: Inexpensive (++), jambs frequently/you can only load 6~8 shots (-), lower power so it can't always tip the target (-), more accurate so you can hit the target more often (+), fun to shoot (+++) Airsoft: Airsoft is a great option for indoor shooting instead of bb's, pelllets, or 22's.
