## Description

Take your music collection on the road. This cable gives you the convenient ability to control and listen to your iPod from your factory installed Kia stereo. The simple one cable connection eliminates the bulky adapter box found with many iPod adapters. This cable is 12” long and features a 30-pin iPod plug on one end and a 3.5mm/USB on the other.

Review: it worked like a charm - My Kia dealer doesn't even carry these cables. When my daughter gave me her old iPod Nano, I knew I wanted a cable to play the Nano through the AUX on my Soul's radio. I bought this cable and was eager to try it. I had trouble with it at first. I plugged it in and it charged the Nano but only static came through the radio. I went back to read the reviews to see if there were any troubleshooting tips I could pick up. I found out I did not have the USB/AUX end pushed in enough. When I went back and pushed it into the console further, it worked like a charm! Be careful connecting and disconnecting the iPod end - there are tabs on the sides of the cable to squeeze when manipulating it. Listening to my Eagles playlist with this device is better than listening to the '70s satellite channel because it's all Eagles! Ditto with my John Denver playlist.
Review: Cheap but short - Click around on the optional companies offering this. I was about to pay $17 when I found one for $12 and free shipping. I am using this in a 2012 KIA Soul. Just wanted to say that when I used the normal iPod connecting cable (usb only) it did work with my stereo. However, it was a little slower to load songs and it displays file code first then the song info and it did charge as well. With this official cable it loads songs immediately and displays everything as it should plus charging. I saw a YouTube video that states your supposed to remove the device before you start your vehicle to prevent damage but I have never worried about it and nothing has gone wrong. Only serious issue is the length of the cable itself. I was hoping I could run it into my glove-box like the regular iPod cable so its out of the way and out of view but it just doesn't quite make it in there so i stuff it down the side of the passenger side seat to hide it. (you cannot access the iPod once your car is started so if you need to change any settings do so before hand)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does what it's supposed to do
*by M***N on December 5, 2012*

This cable works perfectly with my 2010 Kia Soul+ and old iPod Nano, and I'm very glad to have saved $40 by purchasing through Amazon instead of my dealership. The first time I plugged the cable in, it only gave me static, although it was showing the artist and song name. Turns out it wasn't in all the way; I had to jiggle it around and use a little bit of brute force to get the USB half in, which made me nervous, but it's been fine since. The sound quality is excellent, and I love being able to see the song titles. (I was using a regular iPod cable, but it wouldn't play all of my songs, and it would only allow you to shuffle the songs. You also couldn't see the song title unless you pressed the "Info" button on the console.) Navigation through the steering wheel buttons can be a bit cumbersome, so I would recommend selecting an artist or playlist from your device before starting the vehicle.
