To be sure the mice are stopped in the crawl space, I installed the blocker on the crawl space side and added two wood threshold strips past the blocker so that the height of the space under the door was less than the width of a pencil. Since then, no mice have made it from the crawl space into the house. 2/12/26 - Update - I ordered this door sweep again for the front door. There's no mouse issue with this door, since there's a storm door and no large gap under the door. However, cold air flows under the door corner where the original rubber strip is deteriorated. Like the other door, I will add a 1/4" high wood strip past the threshold so that the bottom of the sweep will block the air flow, but then clear the threshold and mat in the foyer.
