Nope, its just a little too aggresive no matter how much lube or little force. Even more obvious on my black paint. They do say to use a Adams swirl remover after using the mitt, which makes sense since you are claying the car you most likely will use some cut/polish after but i have used other cheaper clay/clay synthetics that do not leave any scratched or swirls.
