They work. Review: Got these to De-horn goats, works pretty good. - So we were going to leave the horns on our goats mainly because any way I had previously known of was just far too messy/traumatic for all involved. Then we started having head stuck and a bit too feisty issues so I started looking up alternatives and came across some videos on Youtube that showed how banding the horns could work and I figured it was worth a try. -So they suggested these over other kinds because they are flat and won't roll. While they are “less” likely to roll where you don’t want them they may still a bit when you try and get them off the bander. -You are able to use these with a standard size bander. I mean we priced a bigger one and if you were going to try this with either large (not pygmy goats) you may need the bigger bander. -So far it is working very well. We have had to replace a few on one stubborn buck as he kept rubbing his horns on things and snapped a few. I know technically that's not what these are for but it is so much better than the alternative.
