Yes this book is expensive, yes you might crack a vertebrae lugging it around, yes you will actually learn a few things. I recently took the written recertification exam (exclusively in obstetrics) and this was my sole resource for preparation. A complete reading of the text and second review of the portions I thought significant enough to highlight was rewarded with a score of 89.
