**Q: Can anyone provide the dimensions of the lower shelf?  Is it deep enough for a laptop?**
A: Its probably about 14 inches deep. It's honestly a little shallow for my laptop to sit on and to be able to tilt the screen back far enough to be functional.

**Q: Would this make a good tween desk? Is it very sturdy?**
A: Yes. The desk is very sturdy. It is a bit narrow so working on a laptop is pretty tight.

**Q: What is the height of the bottom of the desk**
A: From the floor to bottom ledge is 24.25 inches.  My stool with cushion is 18inches and it seats me at the perfect height.

**Q: Is the top finished and without holes so that you could leave the top hutch part off the desk?**
A: The hutch is attached and cannot be removed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful, but came broken

Beautiful desk, and very well made. It's not just particle board. Easy to assemble, sturdy, and gorgeous color and texture. However! Mine arrived broken. I don't want to repackage the entire thing and ship it back, but it's still an issue. Luckily, the break is at the very top of the decorative lip on the top of the desk, so it won't affect sturdiness or compromise the structure, but it's still a good 3" break. I can easily hide it, but yeah... Overall, great buy! Highly recommend, especially because the break looks like it was caused by FedEx during shipping (shape looks like it was dropped on an edge) and not by the manufacturer. Could be improved by better protective packaging in the future.
