I have to admit I am not using on my car... but on a group of outdoor silk plants on my carport. The frayed ends of the bristles help the brush to be effective, but not damaging. I lightly misted some cleaner on the brush and in no time I was successful in cleaning all the outdoor, very dirty faux plants. The handle has a gripping rubber like material on it for solid control and the way it is shaped definitely helped in it's effectiveness.
