It looks good and the different colours are great as well as a safety warning. Personally, I find the on/off switch a bit awkward as it seems to have to be pressed at a precise angle. **Q: How heavy is the kettle?  my mum is old and needs a light kettle. please?**
A: Empty: 1000g Half Full: 2000g Full: 2700g - I would say that it's no heavier than most kettles of this size. For someone old I would think half full ought to be manageable. It's enough to make a small pot of tea or 2 or 3 cups of beverage depending on the size of the cups. But I think when full it may be a bit heavy and difficult to manage for someone in old age.

**Q: Does the light stay in when not boiling?**
A: No it doesn't....and if you're looking for effect, don't bother buying it. 
The picture of it is nothing like it.
Mine has a red light on when it's boiling, but it's nothing spectacular.

**Q: If the water is boiled to 100 C, when cooled, will it indicate when it cools to 70 degrees C?**
A: No there’s no thermometer so to speak. If the water is already at 70C or above though when you try to turn it on it’ll cut off straight away. I wait awhile till it’s a bit cooler than I want and then put it on for the 70C. When it starts heating the water again then I know I’ll have the correct temperature when it cuts off and that the water is sterile. Hope that helps.

This is a great kettle. Lovely looking too.. i think the temperature control part is a fab feature. Especially when doing latte, cappuccino, etc. Its also great value for money. Quite fast boiling too and quiet. Would highly recommend..

Excellent, lightweight, doesn’t give you steam burns when pouring. Fantastic reasonably priced kettle. Boils fast and easy to use . I’ve bought expensive kettles in the past ,this little kettle is fabulous far out beats the well known name brands and expensive ones to. That’s the advantage of amazon if not completely satisfied, you can get a exchange or refund. I have arthritis in my hands and have no trouble lifting or filing this kettle
