They seem to fit together ok, not sure if they will fit with original Anderson PP, but don't imagine they wouldn't. The shells fit together ok--just a little tight for alignment and disassembly. Nice hard plastic. I have a pickup power-outlet project going on and these should be a few more than enough for now. The box could be a little more rugged (hinge was popped open and contents were mixed up) maybe that's why it's in a bag too. It would be nice if I could find some little seal-plugs to go over the wires and into the sockets to make them a little more weather-proof, but that's probably not an original design expectation for these. I "knew" how small these would be but was still a little surprised. No idea about technical performance (contact heating under load, contact wear, housing ruggedness outdoors, etc). They look like they should crimp on as well as any, expecting same. It they turn out differently I will revisit this review. Like El Burro stated previously - These are gender-less. They are an overlapping type of plug; meaning the plugs will fit with any other plug in the kit as long as they are rotated 180 degrees from each other. Furthermore This allows for very unique connections as black and red plugs can attach to each other from any 4 sides. So you can have a horizontally placed red plug with a black plug that plugs in sideways. Or a red plug upside down with a black plug rights side up.... This is exceptionally helpful if multiple multiple hook ups are located next to each other as it gives you many unique combinations to keep you from plugging in the wrong connectors. I have used these connectors for more than15 years....Original called Anderson Powerpole Connectors. These are the longest lasting and most efficient plug I have found so far - more so than deans, TRX, XT, EC3 or any other plug. Also the easiest to pull apart. Please note: the 15amp, 30amp, and 45amp are all interchangeable with each other. The only difference is on the silver-plated part where the wire is placed. This area is made larger as the amp rating increases. Specialty crimping tool is strongly recommended for the easiest installation - no solder needed and can have a whole plug installed in less 30seconds!
