The straps didn’t solve the problem because the buckles didn’t hold the tension needed. They slipped loose as soon as either end of the bed was elevated. I think y ou would have the same problem with the original purpose of holding your twin mattresses together, especially if each twin was raised to a different level. I can even see a problem on a flat frame if any sort of vigorous movement occurred on the mattresses, such as restless sleepers, etc. These buckles just don’t hold tight. I even tried tying double knots in the strap ends once they were tightened. Nope. The straps slipped, too! My bottom line: don’t waste your money. **Q: Will this work to hold sheets in place on an air mattress?** A: Yes depending on how big the air mattress is you’ll need help holding the belt in place but once you click it together it should be snug. **Q: Could this be used to hold a mattress topper to the mattress, wrapping around the width of one end of the bed?** A: The strap is super long.
