The plastic ones had been too bulky to fit into my lunch bag. Finally, I got around to buying these boxes, and they're pretty much everything I'd hoped they would be. More compact, more sustainable materials - exactly what I wanted. The only thing I'd caution people on is these boxes are not dishwasher safe. You have to hand wash them after every use. Just an FYI.
