Review: Works great, also compared to my existing Samsung Evo plus - I have an Aorus motherboard and wanted to use the second M.2 slot, as the Samsung Evo Plus already installed and the couple of spare slower SATA SSDs were not enough anymore, with a single game taking 100gb easily. The size of this M.2 SSD is standard and it fitted my second slot. I didn't want to pay the extra for another Samsung Evo Plus, the reviews were great, so I decided to give it a try. I have added a picture of the benchmark comparison between the Samsung and the Sabrent drives on this review. I am super pleased, it works really well and it is basically comparable in speed. It didn't make sense to use another SATA SSD, as prices are just a bit lower but speed is like 4 times lower than a good M.2. Beware that not all drives are the same, you will find cheaper M.2 with much slower speed. Also, be aware that many motherboards (including mine) with multiple SATA ports will disable some of them when both M.2 drives are installed. It will do that automatically at first boot and it is an option that you cannot override. So if you have 4 SATA ports and you plan to use 2, use the correct ones (check the manual) and if you had more drives installed you will need to give the extra ones up. It is better always to check the manual if you are not sure. In my case it was perfect, I just had to swap the port of one of the 2 SATA SSDs and I was ready to go. Installing the drive is quite simple, but remember that the slot on the motherboard could be under the graphic card or hidden a bit by the CPU cooler depending on your mother board design. If you have no idea of what you are doing, get help from a friend that does or visit a store to get it installed. Building a PC is quite easy, but if you don't know how that works and you don't want or have time to go through the learning curve, it is better not to risk it. The only thing I cannot review is longevity, but I will surely come back to this review if the drive fails on me :) I will also report if I get any temperature issue, these things usually do get really hot. My mobo has a heat sink on each slot, but this second one is near the GPU and I believe it will exhaust hot air close to it. Any problem, I will edit the review. So far I played for a couple of days and all is good. I have already installed and moved existing games from the SATA SSDs so it is half used now. So far, I can only say I am super happy.
Review: Great 1tb super fast storage and super value! - I got this NVMe recently when I upgraded my motherboard to ASUS B570 - the first slot is PCI4 and I got a device for that slot but wanted another for the second slot which is only PCI3 so this Sabrent Rocket Q 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 seemed to fit the bill. There are faster and perhaps better quality (longer lasting perhaps?) drives out there - and many people prefer to turn to Samsung or the like. However, this was substantially cheaper and runs as fast as I need! Operating temperatures seem OK though I havent done any formal stress testing. It is perfect for my needs - I use it as a tempory backup from my primary drive but PLEASE always backup data in a seperate device - or use the cloud - you could well live to regret not doing so!! However, as a short term backup and a fast drive for copy paste etc it is perfect. I moved a year's worth of video files (I produce two or three a week!!) in less than a few minutes! ## Questions & Answers

**Q: What happen if I buy the ssd card and is not compatible?**
A: Cheap your motherboard manual for PCI Express 4.0 b or m keys here. If you have both then you can only use it on one not both here. Also if your thinking about randisk ssd/ram combination chipsets if your into data and building prototypes for mobos and future m1x like ddr5 RAM silicon cpu combination like also the one above here if you want to build a custom PCB design chipset or add-on card here before doing anything involving soldering on chips to a circuit board here from a 3d printer.

**Q: What is the difference between this and the $259 sabrent 2tb rocket nvme pcie besides the label appears different (black/blue to this plain white)?**
A: The white one is QLC, the dark one is TLC. QLC means each cell of the NAND flash can store 4 bits per cell, TLC means 3. TLC tends to be faster and can last longer.

**Q: besides the price difference, is there another difference between the 1tb white variation from the black variation?**
A: The speed difference is big but only if your motherboard and CPU can handle it. Don't expect PS5 lighting quick load times though as combination direct drive like ssds found on the Xbox series X for the pc anytime soon though as Microsoft want to push console sales for at least a year maybe more if the economy gets worse as consoles are war cheaper than a pc or laptop here for just gaming alone.

Pcie 6.0 will have the combination ram/SSD designs by 2023 as Intel said in Soeul in 2019 as standard for this change now found in the next gen consoles now as itx and smaller designs for pc desktops are becoming a thing here for minimalistic looks and for a wireless desktop workstation set-up and for gamers too as the gpu and cpu become slowly more merged together like the SSD and ram chips have become for the consoles as there will a radical change in motherboard designs in the next 2-3 years for this GPU and CPU merge to occur here like seen on the consoles for smaller more mobile workstations like in and ryzen nuc with it's Apu.

Laptops might be phassed out for foldable phone/PCs depending on how the surface neo and lenovo foldable does once the SSD ram and cpu and gpu both merge on the pc side for things to get rid for unnecessary clutter here. The batteries though are the main problem still. They need to last for 30 days on full 100 power cpu gpu ram SSD draw for this to become a fully wireless mobile PC world though.

**Q: Is this a B key or an m key?**
A: M Key

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic value, easy to install, Acronis works perfectly a
*by L***T on 24 October 2020*

Simple to install in the NVME slot of my laptop, Acronis was very easy to use, and 2tb is fantastic at this price for an NVME drive. I must admit to being utterly impressed with Sabrent with this Rocket Q NVME drive - 2tb on such a tiny device, and the speeds it offered are wonderful, but best of all was the customer experience of purchasing it - the small metal tin it is provided in is excellent, and the user experience registering the product and downloading and using Acronis was rather splendid. The areas in which Sabrent could improve are reasonably simple - Acronis could, in theory, offer a "reboot to cloned drive" or formatting of the UEFI partition on the original device to provide an easier way to format the original device after cloning.
