During fitness classes they are subject to being struck on hard floors, this can potentially increase vibration up the stick and therefore increased wear & tear on the light units. About the size of BIG 2B's. I use 5B's. Double strokes can be a bit tough. But, for what they are, they are Awesome! I am currently using a Roland TD25 set, and since it has mesh pads and plastic rims, probably won't damage as much as on on metal rims. They Haven't died yet! I play "no drums" songs off You Tube thru my jamroom PA. LOOK AWESOME IN LOWER LIGHT!
