You Can get 1 ohm 4 ohm or 8 ohm **Q: Whats the differences between 2 omhs and 4 ohms?** A: DVC dual voice coils 4 ohm DVC = 2 ohm in parallel or 8 ohm series 2 ohm DVC = 1 ohm in parallel or 4 ohm series Parallel is pos to pos (+ to +) neg to neg (- to -) If you have a mono block amp that can handle 1 ohm you could run one 2 ohm DVC or two 4 ohm DVC PAIR Two DVC subwoofers, the subs will have two sets of pos/negative terminals or wire depending on manufacturer. The ohm rating of the VC Voice Coils has little to do with how powerful the subwoofer is however, SVC single voice coil subs generally aren't as loud and for the most part have disappeared in Car Audio (yes you can find them but nobody runs SVC subs anymore) Be careful with the information you get on Amazon as MECP "Mobile Electronic Professional" techs don't hang out here. You'll likely get bad information based on someone who thinks they know what their talking about I was MECP certified from 1995-2001 and no not at Best Buy. Some FREE advice, Best Buy hires people off the street. They take the test in house, that means everyone passes and they learn as they go. Would you want your heart transplant done by a student or someone who has experience under their belt I only say this because you can do the job just by reading up on what you need to know. PS: Biggest problem in DIY installs Bad ground, not securing or choosing a better location Wrong guage wire, not using 4g, 2g or even 0g wire for a 7000w amp Not using a second battery with a large cap to support large amps Not isolating the 2nd battery from the charging system Nor running the amp strictly off the 2nd batter with a battery isolated in line so the amp doesn't drain your battery. A battery isolator goes in between the main battery 12v and 2nd battery. I'll keep u posted when I get new amp in. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by B***D on 14 February 2025* not as good as the old solobarics. but it's still a 15 inch L7. ### ⭐ Review *by J***M on 5 October 2022* When this subwoofer arrived it was inside the damaged factory box and very loosely packed in a much larger box without any packing material. When removed from the large box, the factory box had multiple holes, tears and damage. Opening the factory box some little things like the Kicker decal, basket trim stickers and factory paperwork was missing though the manual remained. The sub was in the factory plastic bag but the factory tape was torn. When removed, the sub looked clean but not new with scrape marks where the paint was removed on the back of the motor, rub marks on the surround and cone and discolored paint in the screw holes with scuff marks on the side of the baskets upper lip... When tested on low power (50-100w) the sub preformed good without issues. When put on 500-600w and in a box the sub rattled so the sub was removed from the box and tested on 500-600w without the box and it rattled louder! Amazon customer service was notified and the sub was torn down for repair. Upon teardown the voicecoil was found to have damage from prior use "abuse in this case" as the sub didn't have 20min of use by me on it since purchased before I performed a teardown. Conclusion.. The seller shipped a cleaned up/ used sub in place of a brand new one...
