Review: Love this! - Just buy it—the installation was easy. All you need is a razor knife or a wall saw. Tape the template to the wall, level it, trace it, and cut the opening. > It comes with an extension cable, and I'm definitely planning to install more of these. I have my lights, thermostats, and cameras connected, and I can even make a call right from the wall. Come on—that's Jetsons-level cool! > My recommendation is that if you have electrical wiring nearby, add an outlet in the wall with a proper electrical box to keep everything looking clean. For now, I wall-fished the extension cable down into the basement and plugged it into an existing outlet, but adding a dedicated outlet behind it is my long-term plan.
Review: Good solution for wall mount option - Why no one has come out with a wall mounted smart screen is beyond me, this isn't perfect but a pretty darn good option to configure what is available to put a google hub on the wall. I read reviews and watched some videos of people installing. The biggest criticism seemed to be it not firmly snapping into place at the top. As a precaution from what others had said when cutting the hole I tried to make it tight towards the top of it, the plastic was bendable enough that I got it pretty tight but then... it was too tight and wouldn't snap in at all. Had to trim the drywall slightly a few times to get it to fit right and also snap in, but even if it didn't snap in the weight of the google hub keeps it in place. It seems like these are just run off a 3D printer, if anything it could be made of a more durable plastic to help with that "snapping in" issue at the top but overall a well designed solution to the problem.

## Features

- PLEASE NOTE: This mount fits the first generation Google Nest Hub (released in 2018). It does NOT fit the second generation Nest Hub which was released in March 2021. Please see the second listing picture to ensure you buy the right mount for the Nest Hub you own.
- Requires minor installation, which is easy for most. The Built-In mount comes with a 10-foot extension to the Nest Hub's cord, and also includes a custom adapter to be used with our Power over Ethernet adapter (PoE adapter sold separately).
- The Nest Hub is the perfect command center for your smart home and our simple built-in mount ties it all together. This is the easiest way to get a Next/Google Smart Screen built-in to your home.
- Installs in minutes and sits flush against your wall, while still leaving the speaker exposed for great sound.
- Works great with Power over Ethernet for simple wiring solutions. See below for our custom PoE adapter.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Have plans to make one for a Nest Hub Max yet?**
A: I don’t think we are going to be able to do a mount for the Max since it has a rear speaker in the base that would be muffled. Sorry!

**Q: Do you intend to make a new mount for gen 2 nest hub?**
A: yes, its almost done. 3 to 4 weeks. it will be listed here as an option. cheers!

**Q: I want to hard wire the electric in the wall. Do you splice the cord and hard wire or do you put an outlet into the wall to plug into?**
A: Electric code might differ where you are vs me, but I used the poe adapter it references as this is a low voltage wire.

**Q: I want to mount this thing above my light switch. anybody know where i can get a 120v to 12vdc dongle? how did you guys do this?**
A: I just ran the power cord through the wall down to the outlet below it. I believe you can also buy a PoE (power over Ethernet) adapter and do it that way.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good solution for wall mount option

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easier than I thought. Aesthetically pleasing

Im in no way handy with tools so was hesitant to buy this having to cut a hole in the wall. Finally amped myself to do it. Ordered a drywall cutter traced the outliner of the holder that is provided. Got to cutting less than 10min and it was done. I did have issues with getting power to it but I whipped up something. Basically I made an extra hole bottom near the floor and passed the power cable through tied with a metal hair clip. Then I put a magnet through the hole that was made for the mount and started fishing. 5 minutes later I was able to get the metal with the magnet and pulled it out. Then tada it works. I did mess up by not using a stud finder because I made a hole and stud was there right down the middle. So the hub couldn't sit in. So yeah I bought a hole patch (a new experience for me as well) got the wall patched then retired now knowing where the stud was and all done ✅ looks great👍 very happy with it. All this took (including patching the first hole) 35 minutes
