Review: Aching hand relief has arrived! - I have been having problems with both my hands for a year or so now, especially the base of my thumb and my wrist. I am 57 yrs old for full transparency. These two areas often hurt whenever I overuse them; while I haven't been to the dr for it, I have been looking into some compression gloves that might enable me to crochet in the evenings without having to stop after just 30 min max with the pain making it too difficult. I have been looking on desertcart for a while at the different products available as well as scouring the reviews for honest opinions. I did purchase a bit of a bulkier velcro type thumb and wrist brace that I really like and wear while sleeping which does help me but it's much too bulky to craft in. I finally landed on these copper compression arthritis gloves. I pondered them for a bit due to the price, but decided with the guarantee & the help of the reviews, I'd give it a go. They arrived a couple days ago and I can honestly say that I feel the difference when I wear them. I chose a size medium in nude color in case I found I needed to wear them more often than not (otherwise the pink color was calling my name!). The compression feels just right on the entire hand as well as where I most need it, in my thumb and wrist. Due to the grippiness of the hands, it has taken me just a bit of time to get used to crocheting with them as the yarn kept getting caught on the grip, BUT I am happy to report I can sit longer and use my hands much more now with them on than without them! In fact, wearing them has enabled me to ease up on my yarn tension. They are a little difficult to put on and take off but it is necessary to offer the amount of compression necessary to be effective. That said, the fit is perfect and the material seems to be good quality. I wore my gloves for several hours after they arrived to do some picking up and vacumming and was pleased with how well my hands managed, the comfort level of the gloves, as well as the quality of the product. I've been careful not to eat with them on or do anything that would soil them. Based on other reviews though washing them by hand will not be a problem or compromise their effectiveness. And, they add a nice warmth to your hands which also aids in the comfort of doing any activities in them. By nature I am pretty warm temperature wise so I wasn't sure if this would be an issue or not because my hands are rarely cold, unless it's snowing. They are not heavy or bulky at all like the warmth you require in the winter, rather these gloves offer a nice comforting warmth to the parts of your hand that need it. I have no regret purchasing these gloves and will likely need to purchase more over time as necessary to replace. In my research online, I did read that while wearing compression gloves is helpful (and I can now say that they are!) it is also necessary to do some exercises routinely for your hands to build strength, flexibility, and mobility as the gloves will not cure the issue but they definitely are a tremendous aid to enable the use of your hands longer. I would not hesitate to purchase these gloves and am so glad I decided to do so! Go ahead, order them!
Review: Positive Initial Impressions: Spasms, Swelling and Sweating Problems? Oh My! :) - I suffer from mild muscle spasms/cramps, shakiness, swelling and sweating hands ( hyperhidrosis ) due to a past injury and also years at the gym. I'm a systems builder ( Desktop computers ), Gamer, Artist and I also do long periods of coding so all those were a huge concern as you can imagine. So far here is my review: Look of the gloves - They are sleek, have great rubber gripping from the base of your wrist up to your fingers. They look really good in black in my opinion. They don't look like something that is awkward to wear or "medical". Maybe it's the nerd in me, but I really like the look. Fitting - I did the measurements according to their instructions. To be safe I measured the circumference from the base of my fingers to the tip of the webbing between my thumb and index finger. It was 7 1/2 to 8 inches throughout. I ordered a pair of Medium gloves. The fit felt more constrictive than I was expecting. I know they wear in over time reading the reviews. They were causing some indents in my skin along where the rubber seems along the sides is and around base of the wrist. ( See my other comments below for more info ). Ease of use - Everyone has different swelling and whatnot so measurements are by no means a guarantee at least for me. They are very tight to put on and take off initially ( at least this pair ). I will update it once I get the pair of Large ones and try them. Pain Relief - Even being tight because I ordered a size to small for me at least I believe. I can feel the pain relief. My muscle spasms and shakiness in my fingers was gone within 5-10 minutes and I could feel a difference. The cramping from typing and using my mouse isn't there. Also, it's like my hyperhidrosis, even though my fingers would all sweat, where my skin is exposed now even with the short gloves, they don't sweat NEARLY as much. Other Comments: For the sweating I have on my hands which has been a plague on my existence forever. The material these are made of wicks that away super quick and dries fast. The gloves just feel cool and soothing on my skin. No irritation or itching either. I'm not worried about working with my computer building anymore and also for my gaming sessions which can go hours at a time. Customer Support: I think I got a size to small for what my hand condition is which I contacted the them through desertcart about. They responded within a few hours after 10PM my time in the US. So if you have questions for them. Even though the product isn't "expensive" in my opinion. Their customer service treats you great and wants to take care of you quickly. From what I have experienced so far, they are great at communicating and resolving your issue quickly if you have one. I will update this review with pictures of how my hands are in the Medium gloves and in the Large ones once I get them to see if that helps for reference pictures for people and to also note that my issue is resolved regardless of the sizing problem I ran into. Again I think sizing is about the condition you have but their reference chart is a great starting point.

**Q: Are these good for Corporal Tunnel Syndrome?**
A: Hello! Carpal Tunnel Syndrome pain is actually worsened by the compression of the wrist. These are not a good idea for CTS. What you're looking for is a split, that will help keep your wrist at a healthy neutral angle while you sleep.

**Q: Again, is this for a pair or one glove? Right or left?**
A: Very deceptive advertising, is it 'pairs' or is it 'number of gloves', they use it interchangeably, apparently to confuse. Don't buy them anyway, they started unraveling within a couple weeks even before they ever saw the washing machine. Total crap product!

**Q: Are these machine washable? I have looked everywhere for the washing instructions.**
A: Yes. Machine wash cold, delicate cycle. Do not bleach.

**Q: What are they made out of?  Need to know if there is any latex or neoprene in the material.**
A: I don't think so, but I haven't been happy with mine.  I sleep with them on, but they have gotten all stretched out.  I don't think there is any latex or neoprene.  More like wicking material, like the sport shirts and stretch pants athletes wear.

These arthritis gloves saved me. After looking for solutions for almost a dozen of years, I can’t believe it took me this long to get these. I have been suffering from arthritis for almost 20 years now. In the beginning it was just a little soreness in my fingers and my knees, but with time the symptoms increased and multiplied by leaps and bounds. I began experiencing intermittent pain in the joints, ankle, back, fingers, hands, muscles, neck, and wrist. The pain in the fingers and hands were the worst. They really impacted my day to day life more than anything else.I was becoming handicapped. It was horrible to become so dependent on others at such a young age. In my younger years I have been a court stenographer. As soon as the arthritis symptoms appeared I was forced to give it up. I tried other small jobs over the years, but arthritis ripped me away from the occupation that suited me most. My Dr. referred me to a Rheumatologist who suggested the following: * Hydrotherapy * Stretching * Massages * Acupuncture And many more diverse ideas. Some were more soothing and some were less, but that’s all they were. Soothing. During the hydrotherapy I blessed the instructor.i haven’t felt so good in years! But that relief was short lived, as it only lasted for a short while, and later that day I was back to square one. My wife and 3 children were all very worried about me.
