The small second hand, within what appears to be a 60 second sub dial, travels at half speed, taking 120 seconds to completely navigate the dial. Again, odd, as the watch and the other complications are dead on. Sun/moon phase, and the secondary time zone dials are right in synch. I went to YouTube in hopes of finding a similar example and found two. One with a 120 second hand and the other with a 60 second hand. Go figure! All in all, even if the second hand is "defective" (somewhat defective - I have timed it against another watch and it very accurate at 120 seconds), I still give this pocket watch 5 stars.
