## Overview

The Seymour Duncan Mayhem Set is a premium high-output humbucker pickup pair, featuring massive ceramic magnets and hot coil windings for rich upper midrange tones. ## Description

The Duncan Distortion bridge is our original high-output humbucker. It incorporates a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver well-balanced rock and metal tones that have rich upper midrange harmonic content. Great for hard-hitting, crunchy rhythms, and searing lead tone. Riffs are tight and percussive and lead work is fast and immediate with ultra-clear pick dynamics. Originally known as the SH-7 Seymourizer, the Duncan Distortion neck pickup is specifically designed for use with the matching high-output bridge version. It is hot enough to deliver smooth, fluid solo tones under high gain, while still producing bell-like clean tones. Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA, factory, the Duncan Distortion uses a large ceramic bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

Review: OUTSTANDING METAL sound pickup. - All this taken with a grain of salt. These are DISTORTION pickups. With that in mind, they are excellent imho. I find it funny that for my application, I had to go online and get wiring diagram from SD. Having done so I have and NECK, BRIDGE and no combo option so I either didnt have the right diagram or muffed it up. As odd as it sounds, l will leave it this way, and I now have a silent option on the switch. SOOOO much output and distortion, no reason to change it for now. VERY VERY HIGH output. If you want metal hard rock sounds, this will do it. If you want clean this might not be the way to go. Excellent pickups tho.
Review: Super - These absolutely crush it
