My daughter absolutely loves this backpack! She is seven, so anything with bright colors and cats is something she's going to like. She's been using it for school for about a week already. The backpack is made out of a super sturdy material, and it its all really durable. Last year she got a cheap one and it fell apart within three months. This one doesn't feel anything like that and seems like it will last all year. The inside is lined with nice material and it is super spacious inside. It has a zipper pocket on the inside and a nice big pencil pocket on the outside too. The outside is nice, but not really as vibrant as I was expecting based on the pictures online. Some of the colors seem to bleed over into the pink, too. But it still looks pretty good, and the kid loves it, so I am happy with it. For strength and durability I would give this five stars. However because of slightly duller colors and the decorative aspects not being quite what I thought it would be, I am giving it four; still good though!

This backpack is great! The price was great ($9 list price with a $2 off coupon in my cart!)As another reviewers mentioned the image does go behind the front pocket, instead of over it, but treats not that big deal to me. I'll add a photo so you know what it actually looks like.I'm surprised by the quality of this bag! I'd have happily paid more for it (but am glad I didn't have to!)Purchased it for my preschooler's first real backpack. It's a bit big for him but it'll hold his school things (folder, an extra outfit in case he has an accident and his snow boots this winter.) it would absolutely be big enough for an older kid, plenty of room for school books!Highly recommended.

We just got our Sleepy Dog backpack in the mail today and I’m really disappointed in the print quality. The background seems like it would be white in the photo, but it’s more of a bluish tinted off white with light blue and white lines through it. It almost looks as if someone put new, wet jeans up against it. The stitching is weird on one of the pockets and the zipper on the front pocket broke open when I first closed it. Reopening it and closing it worked to resolve that, but that’s concerning since it hasn’t even been used yet. Also, the tip of the dogs nose is actually inside the pocket and hidden. My 7 year old just sees the cute puppy and thinks it’s fine, but I’m embarrassed to send her to school with this tomorrow. I definitely wouldn’t buy it again or recommend it. It’s hard to capture the color in photos, but you can see some next to the white piece of printer paper.

I bought this for my first grade daughter who destroys almost every article of clothing, lunch box and past backpacks. This backpack was not only in mint condition to use again for her in 2nd grade, but she is now going into 3rd grade and it is still in great shape. The only reason I am buying another one is because I feel like she is going to want another image. Excellent quality of image and material. Highly recommended.The picture is after 2 years of daily use.

I LOVE this backpack. Frankly I was abit surprised to hear some review it as too "young" for 8-10 year olds. I'm a 55 year old, and I think it's SWANKY! The picture art is really beautiful, and I've gotten loads of compliments. It's well made, and has plenty of room. I carry a purse, lunch, book, beverage, and other assorted stuff, and never have a problem. The zippers are hefty and the canvas seems strong. It's comfortable on my shoulders and back, and has enough pockets for separating and storing whatever I need. I anticipate this pack lasting a long while. Really pretty, and I would definitely buy it again.

Beautiful back pack....Small though..The Pug was perfect....the Eye was not....the eye print was under the pocket...will be returning the eye print..This bag is made for either fashion or a small kid no more than 3rd- 4th grade. ..Placed my laptop beside the bags for size reference.

This backpack is so adorable I even bought the matching lunch box and my son was they hit up his K-1 class all the little girls followed him around trying to pet his backpack as if it wasn't real kitten...lol Everyone wanted to know where I got it it was the favorite backpack of the class..... And of course he led all of the attention the kitten on the backpack is just adorable. I actually purchased a couple of different style backpacks from the same designer for my other children. I purchased one with a pug puppy it was cute but this one I think was the most adorable! They are durable well-made and the perfect size for all grades!

My 2nd grader uses this backpack for school. She does not pack around a lot of books. She has one teacher so she is not moving from class to class. She loves the cat design. However, I'm not happy with the seam coming apart after only 3 weeks.(see picture) This backpack has enough compartments for a elementary age child. However, I would not purchase this for a highschooler or college student. I think that the laptop compartment padding feature is more for comfort wearing rather than laptop protecting. I wish that the lap top compartment was a zip compartment.
