What I have here are the necessary components required to smooth the overall cycling of the Dillon XL 650 in order to reduce powder spills, increase production and keep the press clean. The four issues addressed by this upgrade are: 1. Addition of a bearing to the case feed ram cam follower to reduce friction and eliminate the need for lubrication at that point. 2. Replacement of the factory issue shell plate index detent ball with a low mass industrial bearing to reduce impact energy. 3. Replacement of the factory issued shell plate index detent ball spring which has the ideal level of pressure to engage the detent ball into the shell plate. 4. Addition of a bearing atop the shell plate The premium kit has the same 4140 shaft with the bearing, but is professionally blackened. This smooths out the shell case ram and eliminates grease at that point. The Phenolic industrial grade bearing detent ball absorbs shock and is 1/5 the weight of the steel ball. Also talking about that, the items were taped to the receipt and upon removing the tape to get to the items you end up tearing it up.The index ball and spring fit with no problems, I would like to cycle the machine with all the items on it but unfortunately that's going to be a problem until I get a new bushing. I just installed all of my parts damn i press runs noticeably smoother. The cam arm was not difficult at all to install and the adjustments are super easy. If you know how to use your Dillon press I'm sure you won't have any problem adjusting the cam arm properly. My bushing fit a bit tight due to some grooves in the center stud from a time when I forgot to back it's set screw out (newb mistake back in the day). But it fit just fine after working it past the grooves. For me the detent and spring made the most noticeable difference, my shellplate doesn't index as abruptly instead it seems to ease into position while still maintaining positive index.4 stars for the shipping method.
