I am old school and actually have all of my albums on my phone and on my PC. Since I couldn't use the music from my phone in my car, I did the next best thing, I put my music on SD memory cards (supposedly my car only accepts SD drives of 32GB or smaller, not really a problem because you can store a TON of music on a 32GB SD card, even at high bit rates) and bought this PCMCIA interface that fits my car. Works like a charm! With my COMAND interface I can stroll through the folders and select the music I want to play. Sounds awesome, no hiccups or anything. The ONLY complaint I have is that when you start your car, the system takes about 10 seconds (seems like a long time (see first picture); I'm sure it's because of the car, not because of the PCMCIA interface) before the system reads the card and starts playing the music. Again, this is only when you start the car. Going from folder to folder, album to album or song to song, there is no delay. All-in-all, this interface with two 32GB SD cards is a god send!! I have a macbook and in order to be able to use this PCMCIA adapter you must first format the SD card you want to use. Go to disk utility and change the format from ExFAT to FAT32(called MS-DOS on Mac). Also when transferring CDs to mp3 on a Mac you must change the import settings on iTunes from AAC encoder to MP3 Encoder.
