Review: Absolutely incredible, the price is worth it! - Using 4 of these on a wall, and the VIZIO - Elevate SE 5.1.2 sound system in front of them, these panels really absorb sound well. It's not perfect, as a subwoofer will still transfer sound through the floor it's placed on, but other than bass, it nullifies almost everything, at a moderately loud sound at that. Pros: Each panel comes with a certificate of manufacture date, and other information. The giant paper outline that came with is a life saver for installation. They work very well when placed on the floor with no mounting, but not as good as when mounted. Plenty of extra mounting hardware, just in case! Cons: Hair and dust seems to be attracted to the fabric of these panels. Completely DIY installation. I placed two on the wall that adjoins the other room and they are opposite the TV. I was skeptical but they do seem to be doing some good, plus they look nice on the wall. **Q: Can you use adhesive command strips to hold them up?** A: For safety reasons, we do not recommend command strips for mounting our acoustic panels. **Q: Could I screw a couple of L-braces into and make it a free-standing panel?** A: I think that you can do that pretty easily. The frame and the back are pretty stout and will easily, and securely, take screws.
