Honestly, I can't rate this highly enough - so long as you have a charger which is able to deliver USB PD to the power bank, then it just work perfectly. Sadly, here comes to flaw I alluded to in the title: The secondary Type C/A ports just stopped working one day. You can plug devices in and the lights on the power bank flash as if to announce that it's about to start delivering charge to your device, but it just never comes. Had the return the item as defective for a refund, but I was actually so impressed by it (when it worked) that I'm going to get another.

This bank is an absolute beast. It's packaged well and delivers USB PD up to 60W out of the main USB Type C port, plus 18W from the other type C/A ports. Honestly, I can't rate this highly enough - so long as you have a charger which is able to deliver USB PD to the power bank, then it just work perfectly. Sadly, here comes to flaw I alluded to in the title: The secondary Type C/A ports just stopped working one day. You can plug devices in and the lights on the power bank flash as if to announce that it's about to start delivering charge to your device, but it just never comes. Had the return the item as defective for a refund, but I was actually so impressed by it (when it worked) that I'm going to get another.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute Top-Powerbank, teuer, aber jeden Cent wert

Ich habe seit fast 2 Jahren eine Charmast Powerbank mit PD und einer Kapazität von 26.800mAh. Da die Charmast deutlich an Kapazität verloren hat und 2 Stecker (Lightning, Micro-USB) mechanische und elektrische Defekte aufweisen, bin ich seit ca. 3 Monaten auf der Suche nach einer neuen Powerbank. Nach einigen Fehlkäufen bin ich bei der Helpers Lab Powerbank gelandet. Ich werde beide Produkte miteinander vergleichen, obwohl die Charmast nur rund die Hälfte der Helpers Lab kostet, die Kapazitäten beider Powerbanks unterschiedlich sind und die Charmast schon einige Ladezyklen „auf dem Buckel“ hat. Qualitätseindruck: Die Charmast besteht rundum aus Kunststoff, die Helpers Lab hat ein Alu-Gehäuse, die Seitenteile sind aus schwarzem Kunststoff. Während bei der Charmast schon im Neuzustand drei der sechs Steckplätze wackelig waren, sind die USB-Buchsen der Helpers Lab über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Nichts wackelt, alles passt perfekt, die Stecker rasten alle „satt“ ein, kein Vergleich mit der Charmast. Zwischen dem Alugehäuse und den seitlichen Kunststoffdeckeln gibt keine Spalten, auch die USB-Buchsen sind perfekt eingepasst. Hier sieht und fühlt man den doppelten Preis der Helpers Lab. Leider kann ich an dieser Stelle nichts über die Langzeitstabilität der Helpers Mechanik sagen, da ich erst seit einigen Tagen im Besitz der Powerbank bin. Nicht unerwähnt sollte an dieser Stelle sein, dass ich die Charmast aufgrund von elektrischen Defekten 2 x an Amazon zurücksenden musste, bis ich endlich eine im Neuzustand funktionierende Powerbank bekam! Größe/Gewicht: Die Charmast ist deutlich breiter und länger als die Helpers Lab, siehe Foto. Sehr positiv bei der Charmast: sie ist mit 14,5 mm nur etwa halb so dick wie die Helpers (24,0 mm). Ein weiter Vorteil bei der Charmast ist das niedrigere Gewicht (410gr. zu 560gr.), diesen Gewichtsunterschied merkt man beim Hochheben deutlich. Kapazität: An der Kapazitätsangabe der Charmast (26.800 mAh) hatte ich immer meine Zweifel. Sie hat mein altes iPad Pro 12,9“ (2. Gen.) im Neuzustand zu ca. 90% aufladen können, heute, 2 Jahre später, schafft die Charmast nur noch ca. 40%-50%. Die Helpers schafft mit ihrer Kapazität von 20.000 mAh mein neues iPad Pro (4. Gen.) vollständig aufzuladen, allerdings ist die Helpers Lab noch im absoluten Neuzustand. Da ich hier Äpfel und Birnen vergleiche, d. h. eine 2 Jahre alte Powerbank mit zahlreichen Ladezyklen, mit einer Neuen, sollte folgende Aussage stehen bleiben: Der Kapazitätsangabe von Helpers Lab glaube ich eher, als der reichlich optimistischen Angabe von Charmast. An der Stelle bitte genau lesen, ich habe „glaube“ geschrieben, ich habe bis jetzt nicht wirklich die Kapazitäten messen können. Leistung (laden/entladen): Hier schlägt die Stunde der Helpers Lab. Zum Aufladen habe ich die Powerbank an ein 60 Watt Aukey-, 30- und 18 Watt Apple-Netzteil gehängt, die Helpers lädt immer mit der maximal möglichen Leistung, wenn der PD1-Eingang verwendet wird (Messung mit dem kleinen USB-C Multimeter-> siehe Foto). Das heißt, mit einem 60 Watt Netzteil kann die Powerbank von 0 auf 100% in ca. 1h 20min geladen werden. Die Helpers Lab wird beim 60-Watt-Laden sehr warm, aber die Oberfläche kann ohne Probleme angefasst werden. Und auf der anderen Seite das Entlade-Verhalten. Auch hier habe ich an den Ausgängen die Leistungswerte gemessen, welche auf der Rückseite der Powerbank angegeben waren, siehe Foto der Leistungsdaten der Helpers Lab. Mein iPad Pro 12,9“ 4. Gen. lädt mit der Helpers Lab am PD1 mit max. 38 Watt. Das entspricht etwa der doppelten Leistung, welche ich an der Charmast am USB-C Ausgang messen konnte (max. 18 Watt). Grundsätzlich liefert die Charmast maximal 18 Watt am USB-C Ausgang (PD-Modus). Wenn 2 Geräte angesteckt werden, z. B. 1x USB-C und 1x USB-A, dann wird der PD-Modus am USB-C Ausgang ausgeschaltet, die Charmast lädt die beiden Geräte jeweils nur noch mit max. 10 Watt!!!!! Das Wiederaufladen der Charmant ist eine Katastrophe. Egal welche Netzteil-, Kabel- und Stecker-Kombination (Micro/Lightning/USB-C) ich getestet habe, immer war die Ladeleistung auf ca. 10 Watt limitiert. Das bedeutet, dass die Charmast so ca. 10 Stunden geladen werden muss (0% -> 100%). Was auch noch interessant ist: Die Charmast kann am USB-C Anschluss nur mit dem 30 Watt Apple Netzteil und mit einer in meinem Haus installierten USB-C Wandsteckdose von Gira geladen werden. Mit dem 18 W Apple- und 60 W Aukey-Netzteil konnte ich über den USB-C Anschluss die Charmast nicht laden! Fazit: Ganz klare Empfehlung für die Helpers Lab, wenn Leistung und Qualität zählen. Im Lieferumfang ist noch ein 1,2 m langes USB-C Kabel enthalten. Es funktioniert mit meinem iPad Pro, ist aber etwas dicker und steifer als das Original Apple-USB-C Kabel. .... oder doch besser 2 Charmast zum Preis von 1 Helpers Lab kaufen? Vielleicht. Wenn sie viel reisen, können Gewicht und Formfaktor (die Charmast ist „schön flach“) für die Charmast sprechen. Aber der Preis sollte meiner Meinung nach nicht das Kaufargument sein. Sie kennen vielleicht die Sprüche: „Wer billig kauft, kauft zweimal!“ oder „Ich bin zu arm, um mir was billiges leisten zu können!“ Ich hoffe die Helpers Lab hält das, was ich in der Rezension geschrieben habe.
