These bottles are rather stiff and difficult at first, but after spending about an hour working with them they softened up and were much easier to handle. I definitely recommend taking some time to test drive the bottles the day before you intend to use them for body art. The two largest gauge tips worked best for me, but the powder I used to make my paste still had a tiny bit of stringy plant particles in it. Better results might be had from using an extremely fine ground powder however, I would not recommend using a super dry paste or something with coffee/tea in it as these tips are too narrow. I used a Rajasthani powder with a ratio of 1/2c powder to 1/2c lemon juice to 1.5 tsp tea tree oil to 1.5 tsp granulated sugar. Produced a reasonably smooth paste that piped well with these bottles.
