Looks like about 5p/hr from my smart meter. **Q: Can anyone tell me if the flap on the top needs to be open all the time because it just gets hot an and no water collects in bucket.** A: Hi we have tried both... It do,s get warmer... But if there is water to collect.. It still works... A shame there is no mention in the instructions... I assume you open the flap for drying function as it vents warm air. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You can save the water and use for other things! *by S***H on 17 October 2025* It's brilliant for cloths drying, and a lot cheaper to use than the tumble drier! I put this on yesterday afternoon and in the morning it had already extracted 1.5l of moisture out of the room! It’s a little bit noisier than I’d like but no much louder than a fan. ## Frequently Bought Together - Hometronix 12L Dehumidifier for Mould Moisture Damp Extraction with Air Purifier 24 Hour Timer LED Display Laundry Drying Function - ANSIO Dehumidifier 500ml Pack of 10 Condensation Remover Moisture Absorber Dehumidifiers for Damp, Mould, Moisture in Home, Kitchen, Wardrobe, Bedroom - UniBond AERO 360º Moisture Absorber, 1 Device incl. 1 Refill Tab 450g, Ultra-Absorbent Dehumidifier, Helps to Prevent Condensation, Mould & Musty Smells, Recyclable, Refillable Condensation Absorber --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/160101729-hometronix-12l-dehumidifier-for-mould-moisture-damp-extraction-with-air](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/160101729-hometronix-12l-dehumidifier-for-mould-moisture-damp-extraction-with-air) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
