Has an interesting 'overhang' that doesn't seem sealed too me from the elements on the 'door' or 'flap', but the guts of the plug are all internal and sealed if you install it properly. I'm not an electrician, so this was just a one for one replacement job, but it works and I am happy. Worth the price for sure.
